This project was for a MacBook accessories brand specializing in unique docking stations. The brand contacted CRO Gurus aiming for conversion rate improvements to help & enable the scaling of their business. After the initial call, we decided on the ongoing store optimization program that includes not only initial suggestions for the client's store but also an ongoing data-driven testing program to help the brand validate the success of these new store changes.
Nine months ago, we teamed up with an apparel store facing problems with low conversion rates and AOV. While having these challenges, they were simultaneously getting squeezed with increasing competition and as a result of this their sales in the last part of the year before had decreased.
When it comes to brand success, the key challenge for many companies is how to increase conversion rates. For this brand in particular, though the audience was already composed of buyers and the market for their products was clear, conversion rates were still very low. Most of the sales were coming from doctors purchasing the product for their patients. The challenge then became how to make more sales and drive up conversion rates.
The client had a long history in the industry but had been struggling to scale its online sales with paid advertising. Paid ads were really the only source of hope for the client since the SEO searches are narrow in keywords and already dominated by the biggest players in the industry. Because of this, we focused a lot of effort in making the first order competitive from their online store.
The initial success and cash flow enabled the focus on developing new products for the business, which has rapidly expanded to include an entire product line with different functions. In 2016, the company sold over 200,000 of its ISOLATE® ear protectors, raised over £2 million via crowdfunding, and grew its workforce from six employees to 27 after five years. This impressive growth has translated into an estimated 18% yearly uplift of 1,080,000 pounds from store optimization efforts, bringing the total revenue to 6 million pounds in 2017.
Despite a loyal customer base and high purchase intent, the client’s e-commerce store was performing below industry standards. The site lacked crucial elements such as social proof, urgency, trust markers, and clear authority signals, which were necessary to enhance the customer experience.
They operate in a competitive market with a strong starting position but need to differentiate further and optimize. The best-selling product page accounted for the majority of traffic and was a critical focus for improvements.
When the CEO of this well known air purifier brand contacted CRO Gurus, his company had had some success on Amazon. Despite this, they were still struggling to effectively communicate their success on Shopify and see those same results in their Ecommerce store. They are mainly reliant on Amazon for their business. By working with CRO Gurus, the brand was able to improve their conversions and sales, and now their Shopify store is a major source of income for their business. The brand is now expanding their reach and making more sales than ever before.
By taking a detailed look at this website, our client were able to identify areas of improvement that would have otherwise gone unnoticed. We've implemented changes to the design, navigation, and content, resulting in a significant increase in conversions. By optimizing the user experience, the client was able to create a platform that engages customers and drives them to take action. This resulted in an impressive 45% increase in conversions and a better return on investment.
The client had already been advertising for 6 months before they started working with us, and had achieved moderate success, but weren't able to increase their conversion rate or scale their marketing budget. Consequently, they sought our help to improve their store and increase their conversion rate, with the goal of selling more products. This required finding their target audience, market niche, brand voice, and formulating a unique value proposition that would appeal to potential customers - all of which, fortunately, we were able to do successfully.
